Born and raised in the state of Kansas, Shane can remember his 4th grade math teacher giving him an assignment to draw his dream home.  The home included an indoor basketball court, outdoor go-cart track and all the other amenities a young boy would choose to include.  Shane went on to pursue his education in the renowned department of Architecture, Planning + Design at Kansas State University where his studies included a semester abroad in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy.  Immediately out of school, Shane began his internship at RTA Architects in Colorado Springs in the retail, healthcare and education markets but his love for the outdoors and residential architecture brought him to Telluride in 2001.  Shane has worked with various firms in the region over the years, almost exclusively in the residential realm of architecture.  He began by gaining a deep understanding of interior design with Studio Frank, a 10-year practice with award winning firm Bercovitz Design and most recently teaming up with Sante Architects to pursue cutting edge home designs throughout the region.  He has been involved in numerous architectural projects in the region during the past 21 years of practice and brings a high level of quality design, construction documentation, approvals and contract administration that will make your next project a true success.  When not in the office Shane can usually be found on the San Miguel River near his home chasing trout.
